EHO conducts semi-annual inspections of chemical safety equipment, including eyewashes, safety showers, drench hoses, fume hoods, and spray booths. Results of the inspections are posted on or near the equipment and are forwarded to Physical Plant, the Office of Design and Construction, and affected departmental offices for review.
Any problems or questions regarding this equipment should be addressed to Physical Plant or EHO. EHO should be contacted for further information on the Chemical Safety Equipment Inspection Program. The University's Chemical Hygiene Plan for Laboratories also includes sections on Chemical Safety Equipment use, which may be consulted for further information.
