The Fluorescent Lamp Disposal Program assists campus personnel
with proper disposal of fluorescent lamps for compliance with
environmental regulations. In academic buildings, most
fluorescent lamps are classified as hazardous waste, regardless
of size or shape. These lamps must be disposed of by contacting
the Physical Plant General Maintenance Department for pick-up.
NOTE: Procedures followed in residential buildings vary from
this, so consult EHO or Physical Plant General Maintenance
Supervisor for details on lamp disposal in residential areas.
